Infrared Photography

I converted my 300D to Infrared at the weekend. I will write more about the conversion soon, and also about the post processing.

One thing you choose in post processing is the colour of the sky, but even choosing the exposure levels is really hard. I don’t know which exposures I prefer, let alone the blue vs. red sky

  • You’ll have to give me a lesson in it sometime – I’ve got an infra red lens sitting at home that I got last year but have never used!

  • lol – the first set of infrared photos I take and you want lessons…

    I plan to write a few more posts about it, so that might give you some ideas – but most of it is to have some fun and see what you get. Most of my shots above are -1 EV exposure (I used 1 stop EV bracketing).

  • So does this mean the 300D is now “permanently” infrared?

  • Yes – the camera is “permanently” infrared – I can convert it back in the same way, but I probably never will
