There is a site that you can get eBooks from, myPadMedia. They specialize in ebooks for the iPhone, but they work on Android too. Instructions are here: Android Ebooks

I’m not so worried about the DRM. Although I find DRM itself offensive and I’m not interested in buying DRM-enabled content (not on principle, just because it’s actually kinda annoying in practice), I think books (and movies) will go through the same stages as audio did – i.e. that DRM-free MP3s are now the de-facto standard for legit purchase from Amazon, 7digital, etc.
